π§π»βπ» Dozify: Keep your Mac awake effortlessly

Dear friends,
I've been working on a new macOS app called Dozify. It keeps your Mac awake during long sessions or just prevent your screen to go dark unexpectedly.
Excited to share it with you! Try it out and let me know what you think - your feedback means a lot.
Thanks for the support! Hope Dozify helps!
π₯Ί
I hope Dozify will be available on the Apple App Store one day. To make that happen, I need an Apple Developer account. However, it seems my iCloud email is too new to meet the requirements.
Dozify
100% free, and it always will be
Features
It's lightweight, but it comes packed with essential features:
- One-click Activation: Activate the awake mode immediately via clicking
Allow awake
or pressβ
W
. - Custom Timers: Set specific time intervals (e.g., 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour) during which your Mac will stay awake.
- System Integration: Dozify respects your system settings and automatically returns to your default sleep mode after the set period.
How to use
It's easy to get started:
- Download
Dozify.zip
, extract and copyDozify.app
to Applications folder. - To bypass Apple Gatekeeper for Dozify, open Terminal and run:
sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Dozify.app
This is necessary because I havenβt joined the Apple Developer Program yet, so Dozify isnβt signed or verified by Apple. - Open the app in your Launchpad.
- Check for its icon in your menu bar. Click
Allow awake
to prevent your Mac from sleeping indefinitely. Or you can choose from preset timers like15 minutes
,30 minutes
, or1 hour
to keep it stay awake for a specific time. Once the timer runs out, your Mac will go back to its regular sleep schedule.
